An hour spent pushing Math from 700 toward 750 buys standing that an hour of Reading and Writing past 730 cannot, because the scale simply runs out. If you take the ACT instead, the admitted middle runs 30 to 33, which is the same story in different units.

Admitted students at Fordham typically present an unweighted GPA somewhere around 3.3 to 3.7. That band is wide on purpose.
