Emory SAT Scores, GPA, and ACT (2026)

Emory University is a private nonprofit university in Atlanta, GA, with about 7,298 undergraduates, and Emory SAT scores tell you a lot about who gets in. The middle 50 percent of admitted students score between 1470 and 1550, with an average around 1520. Only about 10.7% of applicants receive an offer, so the score range is not decoration. Math is the stricter test at Emory: a 740 Math score sits below the 25th percentile even though the same 740 would clear the Reading and Writing band comfortably. If you are splitting prep time, the Math section is where the standard is highest and where a weak number stands out fastest. A balanced 1500 built on a 780 Math reads better here than one built on a 780 in Reading and Writing.

Admitted students at Emory typically present an unweighted GPA around 3.8 to 4.0. That band follows from an acceptance rate of 10.7%: when roughly 1 out of 9 applicants gets in, the pool skews toward students with few or no blemishes on the transcript. The number alone is not the whole story. Set 2 targets. Scoring at or above 1470, the 25th percentile, keeps you in range and takes the SAT off the list of reasons to deny you. Scoring at or above 1550 puts you in the top quarter of admits, which matters when the acceptance rate is 10.7% and most files need every advantage. By section, that means pushing Math toward 790 and Reading and Writing toward 760, with Math deserving the larger share of your attention given its higher band.

Work backward from those numbers rather than forward from wherever you are.
